Macaroni Kid Hempstead-Uniondale-Garden City would like to welcome our newest site sponsor: Garden City Dance Studio located at 283 Nassau Blvd. South, in Garden City South. Garden City Dance Studio was established in 1980 by owner/director Cathy Fonte. Cathy has studied Ballet, Tap and Jazz with top names in the business. Cathy's love of dance gave her the motivation to open her own dance studio and has allowed her to share her passion and talent with numerous students. Over the last 35 years, Garden City Dance Studio has grown to 7 studios, complete with an on site dance boutique to service all your dancewear needs.
Garden City Dance Studio's spacious studios are equipped with the latest sound systems and disco lights to maximize each student's experience in the classroom. Parents can sit in the comfortable lobby and watch TV on a flat screen while enjoying a snack from the snack shop. All of the classrooms have viewing windows, allowing parents to watch classes in progress at any time.
Classes are available from ages 18 months through adult and range from Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Creative Movement and more. All boys Hip Hop and Rhythm Rock and Roll are also available. Classes at Garden City Dance Studio run from September through June commencing with a recital. In addition to classes, there is also the Garden City Dance Studio Company Dance Team for ages 4 and over. This competing team is for the serious student who would like a more challenging curriculum of dance. Company members dance 4-7 hours a week and compete locally and nationally. They have performed in Disney World, Hershey Park and Great Adventure as well as many local events. Students must audition for the company after they receive a recommendation from their teacher.
